FORMA
FORMA is the second chapter of DEVOID, continuing from where the story left off at piece 021. REX wakes from a dream of 3-Dimensions to find it is still trapped on a 2-Dimensional canvas. However, something has changed - its world has expanded and the first half of the chapter plays out in a haze of minimalism and abstract formalism, inspired by everything from Frank Stella to 90s VHS boxes. Partway through this journey, however, REX is confronted once more by ‘1’, and is led to a substance that disrupts its 2D experience, leading it into a psychedelic experience that adds new dimensions to the canvas. REX tours a nightmare 3D trip before returning, capable of perceiving itself in 3-Dimensions, leaving us with a finale to the chapter in which REX transforms from square into CUBE.
